Congrats Ankit. Thanks for providing us with an update. Will surely help others who are closer to your priority date.

Hi

Hope you are fine.

Congratulations for your PD current in chart B.

Dont wait for 3 months. You can call when you get current that is 1st March, 2020. All you need just case no. and invoice no. they give you over the phone. Most of them doing that way and start the process as soon as possible no need for further waiting for Welcom letter in the mail by the time you get WL in the mail you get Documentarily qualified (take 2 months) and you are ready for interview. Hope it helps. Thanks

I second that, to what Aquarius has just said. Try to teach them on phone and get case number and invoice number.

I saw many people on this forum successfully doing that.

Btw we tried reaching them ample number of times but we're unsuccessful. Be persistent.

All the best.

Hello All,

My mother is Green Card Holder and I am on H1b Work Visa.My mother applied I-130 in F2B category for me. I am unmarried and 29 years old. I am a citizen of India.

I-130 Filing Date - September 26,2019

My USCIS NOA1 receipt number starting with "IOE"

I want to know how much approximate time it will take to get I-130 approval for F2B category ?

Thanks in advance.

Before you get petition approval, or before your priority date is current? Current priority date for F2B for India is September 2014, so likely another 5 years or so until you might get a green card (or visa if you are outside the US by that stage).

Hi.

I had a similar case. the only differences are:

I was in India and my sweet old lady was in USA.

My i-130 was with USCIS Vermont.

It took almost six years for USCIS Vermont approval. Since yours is in Potomac Service Centre (IOE), it is taking almost 26.5-34.5 months for approval. You can get it anywhere between 2-3 years as per current processing times.

Here's the link so that you can keep track of processing times:

All the best.

i think Potomac service Centre code is YSC. Do you know which USCIS centre code is IOE ?

Yeah rite.

Thanks for the correction.

You are right. YSC code is for Potomac.

I just looked on internet about IOE. It means your  case will be processed electronically, even if you have submitted your documents via normal mail. It's a pilot program started by USCIS.

You might receive NOA-1 mentioning your service center in few months. Your case will be processed according to the processing time of respective service center.

Let's hope for the best.

Regards,

Ankit

I did not receive any service centre information but I received case bumber starting with IOE so I am confused. I think I am in the USA now on H1b and that is why they mentioned Electronic processing without any service center information. Receipt number starting with "IOE" but do not know which service center will process my application.

Don't worry dude.

The service center will be mentioned in NOA-1. Just wait for it.

It is almost 6 months. We filed in September 2019 and we did not receive any service center information till today except the receipt starting with "IOE" so that is why I am worried.

This is the video I found useful for IOE visa.

Its for the spousal visa though you will get the gist.

Also you can track your i-130 application status online. Presently the link is not working. Either the link has changed or site is under maintenance.

Anyways, you can consult USCIS for more information. Contact number is mentioned on their website.

Hope it helps.

Quite a thumbnail in btw.

My father is GC holder and I am on H1B. My I-130 Priority date is Jan 2014. I filled for AOS when my priority date became current in chart 2 i.e date of filling chart.

Keep track of Date of filling chart for F2B category and once it becomes current you can apply for AOS even though your I-130 is not approved. Once you apply for AOS they will work on your I-130 and most likely will not make decision on your I-130 but rather would call you for an interview when the time comes for AOS and give you the Final decision on the case. Good luck Buddy. F2B Date of filling is running fast.

Wish every one speedy process and Best Luck.

Yes, I can confirm this is exactly what happened to me.

After I responded to I-130 RFE, they did not approve but transferred my case to my local USCIS field office where it is awaiting interview along with I-485 pending adjustment.
