It's California but I have long way to go before getting approved. You can see on the profile.

Anyway, I am more worried about RFE since it is now turning out to be very common to ask RFE if Birth Certificate is not registered during birth which unfortunately is not possible as birth certificate only started in 2008. One guy from Bangladesh got petition denied so it seems I might have to go through DNA testing if proof of relationship is asked. Let me know if your petition gets approved or you are given RFE

Also is your birth certificate issued post 2008 or you have something from the hospital that you submitted when you were born?

Hi all..

I need an advice from you..

After inquiring of my i-130 application status from USCIS Vermont, I have been asked to submit the birth certificate or some secondary evidence. The birth certificate doesn't carry my name and hence couldn't be used to establish my relationship with the sponsor(mother).

Obtaining birth certificate/ getting it rectified is a complex procedure in my country. What all secondary evidence I can submit? Can I submit passport copy?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Ankit

January 202 Visa Bulletin is out. Final Action date remained same so it went back 1 month and is projected to move 3 weeks in Feb, meaning we will lose 1 week again.

Filing date moved 2 months. Good news for those whose petition is already approved.

Good news!!!My PD is now current on date of filing chart. When do I receive welcome letter or do I have to call nvc???

As far as I know, if you haven't received Welcome Letter within 3 months of filing date becoming current, then only you can inquire NVC

You can only inquire after 3 months if you haven't received it. That doesn't mean you will get it after 3 months. You may get early or may not get it by then.

Cause I know some people who called nvc after 2-3 weeks and the letter was sent to them to start nvc processing
