I paid for AOS on 2 March and AOS documents mailed on 19 March and was received on 20 March. On 26 March. NVC acknowledged the receipt of it with the following message "We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete thereview of your documents"

Meanwhile, I have not been invoiced for IV processing. I wonder when the payment for it will be enabled.

Again, will the financial documents of my sponsor be included in IV package when mailing?

I just received two emails from NVC telling me that to fill online form for ds-261 which I filled before. The form is presently showing completed at the moment. They also commented of the affidavit of support but asked my sponsor to make corrections and give me for visa interview. Is there any person experiencing the same, please?

I had sent email to NVC in February 2015 to update the address for three petitions. I got email from them for all these petitions for 2 petitions

One with November 2008 priority date and one with January 4, 2009 priority date

This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition.

IMPORTANT:
Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

Preference Category: F2B
Your Priority Date: 04Jan2009
Foreign State Chargeability: PAKISTAN

The one with Priority date of March 2009 I got following email.

Unfortunately, we are unable to predict when this petition will be eligible for further processing. The petition is currently not eligible for further processing due to numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law.

Just do what NVC has asked to do. Even if you filled out the DS-261 earlier, NVC would not have acknowledged it, until you have an email from them. So just do it again, sign and submit it.

Good going! The first 2 petitions will become current soon and your paperwork will start over the next couple of months.

Exactly on which date did u send the packages first time to NVC??

The sequence is as follows:

Feb 17: Recd Welcome Letter

Feb 24: Sent documents (financial and supporting docs)

Feb 26: NVC recd docs, informed me via email

Mar 12: Email recd for IV fee payment

Mar 12: Paid IV fees

Mar 31: Checklist for I-864

Mar 31: resent new I-864 to NVC

Now I'm waiting to hear from them.

What happened about your case? Have you paid IV fees yet?

I think the F2B is going to move quick in the coming bulletins, coz NVC sent Hamida email that 2 of her F2B cases ( Nov 2015 & Jan 2016 PD) are being considered for processing.

It took them 6+ weeks. Best thing at this time is to call NVC and they will confirm to you that your case is now ready for processing. I called them yesterday night at around 9:00 p.m. (I had to be on hold for 30 minutes) but got confirmation that both my cases got current for processing on March 27, 2015 and I will be receiving communication latest by 42 days from March 27, 2015. I did not ask them if it was regular 42 days or 42 business days. If it is 42 business days I do no expect anything this month to start the paper work.

Hey Chubbs,

I am glad that ur son's case is in progress. I think NVC will finish with ur papers very soon, usually they say 60 days but I think that's a standard language or reply for every case including F4 where spouse and derivative beneficiaries are come along with the main applicant.

But, in F1 and F2B there won't be many papers to file. I hope your son will receive the interview letter very soon :)

All the best and don't worry about this horrible waiting time. Golden days are coming ahead!!

Hey Puru,

  • What is your priority date?
  • Are you getting processed under F2B or F1? If F2B then can you shed some light as to how you got exemption from the automatic conversion of the visa category from F2B to F1?
  • Did your sponsor submit original or copies to NVC for civil documents. It would be great help if you can outline the documents and when did you get it like PCC especially since your consulate is Mumbai

Thanks in advance!

Hey Chubbs,

I am done with the processing, sent both packages and paid both fees as well. Now, just waiting for case completion and interview letter. I hope they won't issue any checklist to me coz my father is coming to India next month if anything require from petitioner then it could delay the process. But, I think they won't take 60 days in our cases. There are few papers to file with them in our cases and not a bundle of documents that require to file with F3 and F4 cases where spouses and children come along with the main applicant. I wish that my case will be completed by the end of this month.

My PD is 17th Dec 2008.

My petitioner and me both sent the photocopies to NVC. Photocopies of everything including every Financial and Civil Documents but I will bring the original documents of these two sets at interview for sure and it is mandatory and strictly instructed by NVC nowadays.

I gt my PCC from Passport seva kendra (PSK) on 13th March 2015 in New Delhi and my embassy is New Delhi not a consulate of Mumbai because I live in delhi not in mumbai.

Civil Documents for me and I believe for every applicant which are required to submit are: Photocopy of PCC, Photocopy of Valid Passport or the latest passport, Photocopy of Birth Certificate, 2 Colored Photographs (2x2 inches) that's it.

Hi Puru,

Is your dad the petitioner? If yes, then he better be in the USA when your procedures are going on. I read on the NVC website that the sponsor has to be in the US when the applicant sets foot on US soil. Please check immediately.
