Hi shakil, that is great that you got your visa also. I am flying Saudia airlines wishing you all the best and a safe journey to New York.

Congrats to both of you!

If NY is your destination, then it's all fine. Else JFK is the worst place to have your point of entry as it takes 3 months+ to get physical green card if used JFK. Boston does it in less than a month. And the less busier the airport, less time it takes to get your physical green card if that is a thing for some people (some workplace doesn't want to hire without physical green card) .Two of my cousins used JFK, 3.5 months for green card. Three used Boston Logan, received in 20-25 days. Two used Raleigh-Durham, green card in 15 days or so. And that was during Obama years. Not sure if it has improved or gone worse.

after 2015 I don't see anybody got case approval letter especially 2016-17 filers within a year or two. Its almost more than 5 years backlog now, no matter how fast VB moves it wont give you any advantage.

Forgot to mention i was once in the f2a Category...sorry

I read an article about VB. it says most times there are huge jumps forward at the beginning of a new fiscal year, either 1st or 2nd chart of the visa bulletin...

I still have 5 months for my PD to be current on Chart B and 9months in Chart A  ... I pray the New fiscal year favours us ...my PD is March 2015

My son entered through JFK May 23rd and got his Green Card June 13. It won't necessarily be that long because of the airport.

Good to know. So, it seems JFK has improved in recent years.
