F2B (mom, a permanent resident filed petition for a brother - not yet married, who is over 21 years old)

PD: March 2016

Received NOA1 - receipt date sometimes March 2016

NOA2 - NOT YET received - Pending status

We used to live in California when we filed the I-130 petition.

We moved to Texas in 2017.

When I check the processing time website:

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

California Service Center:

&

Texas Service Center:

QUESTIONS:

#1 It has been 3 years, we still hasn't received the NOA2 on case approval yet, should we be worried or is this normal? I know that our case is not yet current at NVC & interview phase.

#2 Since Texas Service Center processing speed is faster & we are currently reside in Texas State as well...can we ask to have the case transferred to Texas Service Center?

#3 Anyone that reading this thread with similar PD timeline of March 2016 received your NOA2 yet?

#4 Do we have to check in any website at least once or twice a year (as mandatory) while we are waiting on the case approval? like to keep the case active?

TIA for any input!!!!

1.  Normal

2.  No.

3.  Not me.

4.  No.

There is nothing for you to do except wait.  Make sure that you inform USCIS that the petitioner moved and update your mailing address for the case.

Thanks for the quick response! We already notified & updated our new residency with USCIS & we  also got a copy of the confirmation page of the change of address as well.
