Big jump in Priorities Date on F2B. From Jan'12 to Mar'14 in just months. Anyone knows the reason why such a jump in PD processing?

So this means good news?

My brother's PD is March 2016. Country is Vietnam

Two Questions:

Received NOA1, but not yet receive NOA2. Anyone in the same boat? How soon should we expect to receive the NOA2? Cali processing Center.

&

Based on the progress of the above PD processing speed, will the March 2016 PD be current within 1 year time frame?

Please advise. Thanks in advance!

it will take upto 3 to 4 years for your brother pd to be current. f2b demand bit lower that's why its move bit faster , But  no one can predict what gonna happen, lets hope for the best .

Look at these Charts, its all about final action date but we may see faster final action date movement next year because people with early 2014 PD getting WL now which will create a backlog for IL.

Other experienced immigrant like my case said that the notice of interview comes first before your PD will post on to visa bulletin. It seems the movement is too slow this time... Yes Patience is a virtue... Still hoping for immediate faster movement... Hay...

I have read many forums online and most responses are that IL letter comes weeks or months AFTER PD is current. I called NVC and they don't even officially consider your PD current until the VB month where it becomes current. Example: my son's case was going to become current by Nov. 1st. I called October 24 and was told that it wouldn't be "officially" current until the month of November started. Because- believe it or not- there COULD be changes to the estimated dates on the VB.

The interview letter comes the months before the PD is current. Because, you need to know it in advance, to do the medical and arrange all certificates and documents required.

If for example, you get to know on November 1, that you have interview on November 2nd, you can`t do the medical, heck , even if you have 1 week, you cant. Therefore they give the IL 1 months in advance  ALWAYS, unless the embassy is busy and has no free slots.

I hate to burst your bubble but there are several people here who have current PD dates and still no IL. Including my son. As a matter of fact, a full month has passed from the date his PD became current and still no letter. You can still get your medical and arrange your documents while you wait for the IL.

This is not true. You need the IL to show to the hospital or they will NOT perform a medical.

100.000 people have gone trough the same procedure. Some are delayed, this does not mean that for the other 99.900 it is as for you.

Sorry to hear you are delayed but you are in the 0.001%

Maybe you mean the IL comes a month before the actual interview date.

Yes, and the actual interview date is 99.99% when the date is current first time. Because there is also retrogression, so you cant have Interviews the next months, as the VB could move back 2-3 months by then.

Sorry but our experience has not been this you describe. My son had his medical without an IL.

Also you can read this thread. Most people have the same experience we have had. There is no knowing about the 99.99%. We can only know from what people post as their experience here. Most cases have waited months after their PD became current to receive their IL. Some people NEVER received an IL but found out about their interview after calling NVC. Please don't give false hope to others who come to this forum to find answers.
