Hi! i'm newbie here. i am from the Philippines and my PD is June 23, 2006. Visa bulletin for the month of may shows has a priority date of  august 2006.  i just want to ask how long will it take for the NVC to review my documents? i already submitted ds-260 and submitted necessary documents such as passport, birth certificate, and police records and my petitioner already paid the AOS. Thanks.

Normallly with in 3 month but sometime it's can take long depand if anything missing or something like that . If everything ok it take  12 weeks

Omg . They ask in march my sister divorcertificate via email   and then my text return update when I called end weeks in April  now im wondering it's been 4 month how may more weeks it will take .😢frustrating

Question: where they've asked you to bring in a copies of all civil documents, do they always ask you for them?

I ask when my case will be complited it's been 4 month then they ask my text return update but they didnt  sent me any email or latter for this . So do I have to wait 3 more month is it like chack list ?

And about muslims, you are not from those 7 countries, where your case could get stuck for the reason. I'm not muslim, but my case got stuck for 3 months, so it's not a thing. It's just how they work or not work in your case

Hi Lain , you know me and my sister same PD , 31 March they ask for my sister divorcertificate  but not mine nothing then in April they said deadline will be 26ht then in may firate week called they ask mine text retrun. My point is it OK my sister taking 12 weeks more for  chacklist but why they delaying mine and should think text return a chaklist while there is no wriiten or email and its out of time farme after 3 month asking for text retrun . After this month I'm going to call what should I ask about my case like should i say it's been 5 month I haven't got any chaklist u just ask in phone then why it's delaying ? Please suggest me . Thanks

Hey, Khadija, I don't think, that when your dad submitted updated tax returns, that it was considered as a Checklist. Actually you could bring it to the embassy at the time of interview and it's not an issue to delay the case.

When you'll call next time, ask these questions:

1.) Is your case already completed?

2.) What is your documents "Scan date"?

In other words, let them tell you, when NVC received your documents. You need to hear, that it's January 26. 

If they will say, that it's April, then you'll have to explane, that you haven't received a 2nd Checklist, that all docs are submitted in January, even updated tax returns and ask them, why it's not complited yet, when your time frame was April 26 and it's already 5th month after the Checklist.

You have to talk with representative calm, nice and polite and be aware, that some of them are pretty rude, who doesn't provide any info, then you'll have to call again to get more nicer on the phone

Hi to all.  What are the papers that need to be submitted to NVC when you get the welcome letter?  Haven't gotten the welcome letter yet, but I expect to get it soon.  Priority date is already covered on B box of visa bulletin.  I just want to have a jumpstart on these papers.  Thanks for those who will find time to reply.  Good day.
