Never lie.

(Someone is conflating issues about consanguinity laws. You're not closely enough related for it to matter.)

I know you feel that this could be an issue. But don't make it one. If you can't answer their questions correctly or honestly you can be denied. NEVER LIE! Tell them exactly what happened. Prove your relationship is real and know enough about each other to answer each question the same. Be prepared for any type of question. If they feel this union is fraudulent, they will ask you very personal/intimate questions. Make sure you and your wife know everything there is to know about each other. They have interviewed couples together and separately to see if one is lying or not. If you are a real couple, then there is nothing to worry about. If you are not breaking any laws, there is nothing to worry about. Stay strong and continue to build a strong relationship. Hopefully, everything goes well.

Keep it simple. Hello sir, how did you two meet? A relative of mine introduced us. Hello ma'am, how did you two meet? A relative introduced us. That is the truth. If they ask more questions you can be more specific.
