Wow. You can get a blackberry cobbler with ice cream for that at Cracker Barrel and have someone bring it to you

Do people there pronounce it "crackle barrel"?

Those cupcakes were over $4 each in NYC. For that amount, one should be (almost) able to get a real cake.

Well, now I know you don't live in a city. :)

A whole cake for $4? Wth?

Maybe if you make it yourself from scratch.

A bakery cake is like $20.

Yeah, I am dreaming of the old days. However I still say paying $4 for something I can eat in one bite is absurd.

This weekend, I stopped to get gas on the drive home. I went inside the convenience store to get a candy bar. Snickers Almonds. Hershey's with Almonds. Whatchamacallit. Something chocolate. I was SERIOUSLY disturbed to find they were all about $1.75. And not for king size bars. I bought a water and drove on...

We paid $4 for two bite sized chocolate pieces at some fancy shmancy chocolate place in Toronto. But then prices there never surprise me anymore. Mine was English toffee and the wife's was pistachio.

No. I just close my eyeses, pick one, and run to the front of the store before the heat from the price melts the plastic covering. Then I throw it on the grill for about 2-3 mins, and eat it while it is still mooing...

Yeah, prices are ridiculous. But what is a black man to do? Move to the PI where you can only buy chicken and carabao on plywood on the streets...

They were not one bite cupcakes, though, they were crazy big. Probably what led to their downfall, as it's not a thing that people would be willing to eat too often.
