Hi All:

My wife is the petitioner for my IV and we have been living in India for last 6 years. Since she was not working in the US all these years, we have her uncle who lives in the US as the co-sponsor. But during the visa interview our file is kept in Administrative Processing under section 212 (A)(4) and CO gave a document mentioning that further consideration will be given to the visa application after the petitioner can demonstrate that she is domiciled in the US.

For this, my wife traveled to the US few weeks back and is living with her uncle family. We could submit domicile proofs like: bank account opening letter, new state id card, correspondence with apartment leasing offices, voter id registration form, correspondence with potential employers while searching for jobs and registering in local govt. employment career centers.. We submitted these proofs last week. When we checked online, the case is updated with the date but the status is still in Administrative Processing.

We want to check whether anyone faced similar situation and how soon we can get the visa approved in this case?

Thank you

Best Regards

I also had my interview last week and was given 221G asking to prove the domicile of my wife as she was also living in India for last 6 years. My wife shall be leaving to US mid of next month So what do u suggest ,shall we take the offer letter of a company who.is.willing to hire her and also a letter from her sister where we plan to live in US? Can we submit these 2 docs now or wait for her to go to US first ?if we do the latter then it will consume 40-45 days so we are confused and don't know wat to do?
