In their defense, I'd wager $5 that Arab money is behind a lot of that unpleasantness. Cut off the money, seal the border, and it may all die down. The average Chinese Muslim probably has nothing to do with any of it.

In all seriousness, my point is that even among the Uighur - it's most likely a very small % of them with foreign money and foreign training (Arab funded, of course) that is causing the problems. Cut off the money and reduce the porousness of the border and the problems should dissipate.
