Well im filing the i130 concurrent with the i485 and i have a few questions about the envelope. I have two plastic envelopes with sth like a zipper (like ziploc bags but they are envelopes) and i plan to put the two forms w/ evidence in each of those envelopes. I bought some blank stickers to put on the envelopes put put 'original submition of i-130 form and same with the other one. Do i need to put more information? Like my name and signature? If so, do i have to put my name in the i-130 form because that one is supposed to be filed by the us citizen. Is it ok to use those plastic envelopes? I didn't want to use the yellow ones because there's soo many pages on my forms. Im gonna send those two inside a big usps envelope tomorrow. Well basically i need ideas on what to write on the sticker sticked to the folder. Please help!!!! :)

We did it the old way...in those yellow manila envelopes. You can make a cover letter describing all the things you are including on your package. Regarding the names on the envelope, it's best you put both of your names ...yours and his as the senders since you are including the I-130.

Yeah i have an overall cover letter with both names, address and all that plus 1 cover letter with a table of contents for the i-130 and one for the i-485 but i wasn't sure about the plastic emvelopes, i don't think ther should be a problem. Do i have to put the overall cover letter outiside those two envelopes? Because those two will go inside another envelope from usps so im not sure where to place that cover letter. And maybe i should just write outside the envelopes (on the stickers) form i-130 and i-485??? This whole thing is freaking me out!! Haha thanks :)

Hi, but i'm sending my papers tomorrow and i dont have those. Im not gonna get the pappers back for not sending the with those acco right, i mean all my forms are paper clipped and all atrached together with binder clips ( one binder clip for all the documents needed for the i-130 and anorher for the i-485)

USCIS has suggested they like paperwork sent 2-hole punched on the top using ACCO fasteners - that is how ours is going :)

Ok I think I get you, I think the plastic envelopes will be fine. But why don't you just put I-30 and I-485 in one envelope and put the cover letter on top of both. If you decide to put them in separate envelopes yeah you can put the stickers and the cover letter outside both envelopes meaning directly into the USPS envelope. But in my opinion one envelope works best.

Yeah i think you are right! The plastic envelopes that i got don't fit anyways so i'll go with one yellow envelope with my address and po box chicago address outside and inside i'll put the two forms clipped with binder clips and the overall cover letter on top! :) i put the check as the second item on both forms (after the g325a) is that ok? Or do they have to be on top of each table of contents? Thanks for helping me :)

Yeah but some people say you don't need to put anything spwcial on the envelope because that's on the cover letter so i don't know what to do. I don't even where to place the 'original submission blah blah blah on the envelope. Because the po box address goes in the middle and mine in one corner of the envelope. :/

I didn't put anything special on the outer envelope (or was it a box? ... I forget). I put the I-130 and I-485 packets in separate paper envelopes and wrote the number of the form in marker on each envelope, then put it all in one encompassing package and sent it off via UPS next-day.

I put the papers in this sequence Cover letter, both checks, form I-30, G235A, Evidence of a bona fide marriage, form I-485, G235A, Form 755, Form I-131 and at the end I put the Form G-1145 (e-notification).

But I suppose it won't hurt if you put the checks independently on each file. Hope I could help and good luck!

Thanks the thing is im gonna put them in one yellow envelope. I have them separate sirh binder clips and each form with a table of contents plus the overall cover letter but it was just the envelope thing. So should put in the envelope 'original submission bla bla bla' and the addresses (mine and the po box) on the usps envelope? Because that's how the go right? Inside a usps envelope not my envelope alone. Thanks for helping me ;)
