Hi VJ community. I just wanted to see if there was anyone else out there as nervous and anxious as I am? My husband and I are still undergoing the process, almost about to fill out the IV packet but I'm just so nervous for the interview.. I'd like to know what would be some basis for denial? I always hear horror stories, in particular with Dominican Republic and I'm just so overwhelmed. Anyone have any thoughts, tips, personal feedback on their experience? My sister also met, married and brought her spouse from DR, but then again she was also pregnant by the time they went to the consulate. I guess I'm just looking for someone to ease my anxiety, lol, if possible.... THANKS!!!

It's normal to be nervous! We all are lol Have you read through the interview reviews? There is a great amount of information there for you. I think people run in to problems when they are sooo nervous, they look suspicious, like they might have something to hide, or when they don't submit enough evidence before the interview/at the interview. The officers review cases prior to the interview, so if they don't have a lot of evidence before meeting you, they are, in my opinion, less likely to believe the relationship is valid. Also, you need to make sure all of your documents, requirements, and supporting evidence are in order for your interview. A lot of people don't get an approval the day of the interview because they are missing something. I think there are such horror stories out of DR because it is a high fraud country so they are more likely to look closely at a case, and because people aren't adecuately prepared for their interview.

Good luck on the rest of your journey, there are lots of great people here on the same boat and willing to help!
