Hi everyone,

I was selected by DV2015 with the case number 2015EU000056XX.

I filed my DS-260 Early in may.

As far as my understanding goes KCC will Email me in October - November (as seen on last year bulletin) to schedule an interview.

I have some question regarding my application:

*Medical:

- How do we proceed for the medical? Is that scheduled by KCC or do we do it on your own?

I have found the list of the necessary immunizations on the following link.

http://www.uscis.gov/iframe/ilink/docView/SLB/HTML/SLB/0-0-0-1/0-0-0-29/0-0-0-2006.html

Then the recommended list by the ACIP.

http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/acip-recs/index.html.

- Most of my mandatory Vaccines are to date, the expired ones will be done shortly.

In the case of the recommended ones I have almost none of them. Do you think that by "recommended" they really mean Compulsory?

Because I discussed that with a physician and he told me that some are really superfluous like HPV for I am Male.

-In the DS I filed that I can show proof of vaccination. Will they accept a certificate from my physician?

*Police certificate:

- I ordered and received my Police certificate (French "Casier Judiciaire") so It should be good.

*Proof of education:

-I hold a Master of engineering. So I will take my diploma. But also my highschool degree (French Baccalaureate certificate). Will this satisfy them?

*housing and address

-As I do not own any real estate in the US yet, I wrote down the address of one of my friends from NC- state. Is this a big issue or Can I mail KCC my own address when chosen?

*last but not least: ability to get an ESTA:

- I would like to travel to the US this summer Can I still File an ESTA Despite submitting the DS?

-Would applying for an ESTA jeopardize my DV entry in any manner?

Thank you for answering my interrogations!

Regards,

For vaccinations, you can contact the place where you will be doing your medical and they can tell you which vaccinations you need. For example, I emailed the doctor who will be doing my medical and he responded that for my age group I only need:

- TDAP

- MMR

- Varicella

- Influenza (only required if medical performed in October-February)

I did not have my immunization records from childhood so I got a Titer blood test done which showed I already have immunization for MMR and Varicella so I only needed to get TDAP.

But it is probably dependent on age group and country so you should contact the place you'll be doing your medical. KCC does not make your medical appointment. You have to make your appointment once you get notified of your interview date. In the "If you are selected" instructions they have a list of authorized doctors in your country who can do the immigration medical.

Hi,

I received a mail from KCC last week that stated that I had to check back the DV website which I did and it raised some new questions:

When I first tried to log-in with my CN and informations the website first returned a page saying basically "sorry your entry has not been selected" (I almost started crying....).

Then I re-entered my CN and informations and it said "congrats here is your appointment date: October 22nd" then I saved the page. So I assume the first notice was a glitch or maybe I made a mistake entering my informations (even though I am pretty convinced I typed it right).

I then waited until today to schedule my appointment to the US embassy in Paris (Because it is not possible to select dates more than two month in advance). I used this link provided in the notice: usvisa-info.com. Once done I printed the receipt stating that I was booked for October 22nd.

But on the "applicant summary" page there is a link to a site called CEAC visas status check. It states well:

"Important Notice for DV-2015 Diversity Visa Applicants: The CEAC Status Check will not recognize your case number until you are scheduled for a consular interview. This does not mean that there is a problem with your application. If you would like to check the status of your application prior to your interview, please contact the Kentucky Consular Center at KCCDV@state.gov."

But the site says that my CN corresponds to nothing despite the fact that I am scheduled for an appointment. Do you think that it is a glitch again?

Then I have another question:

I have read some topics on the forum and people are talking about "second IV" are they talking about this mail that tells you to check the DV website?

Regards,

Lemlord

I'm confused. You already have an interview scheduled by KCC at the consulate, so why are you trying to schedule one??? I don't understand the procedure you seem to be following. I've never heard of any selectees having to use the website you're using unless they are trying to reschedule the original appointment. Are the instructions on your interview letter telling you you need to use this site????

And yes re second IV, and the website glitch.

It is actually in the instructions of the US embassy in paris (link provided on the"prepare for your interview page"). It says:"connect to www.usvisa-info.com to register the appointment. only the date provided to you in the letter is valid.

The interview letter tells me to follow the instruction on this site. once I am done there is a confirmation page stating:

"

You have successfully registered your Immigrant Visa appointment on this website.

You must print this instruction page and bring it with you, along with the appointment letter, to the Consular interview.

You must attend your consular interview at the date and time assigned to you in your appointment letter.

"

Lemlord.

There are often things in links that are valid for other immigrant visas but not DV. The instructions in fact alert you to the fact that not all embassy links are all valid for DV visas. If I were you I would check with the Paris embassy. I would be 99.9% certain that you did not have to schedule it yourself on this site.

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/diversity-visa/interview/prepare-for-the-interview.html

The page says: Please note that some of the information included in these instructions may apply to immigrant visa classifications other than diversity visas.

And in fact before that it says this, which in my reading means everything is already scheduled:

After you have been notified of your scheduled interview, you will need to take the following important steps in advance of the interview date:

1. Carefully Review your scheduling information in the Entrant Status Check on the E-DV website, noting the date, time, and location of your immigrant visa interview.
