AOS filing & Work Permit/Travel

I've searched around for the following answers but as most info is slightly old and the rules via DC seem to change somewhat frequently, I'd be ever appreciative with answers to the following questions....

Do I file for a work permit with my wife's AOS ?

Travel abroad .... I would like to go with my wife to her mother in Russia, what can we do about getting her travel privilages ?

Do I file for both of the above with my AOS or is the above included in the process ?

You can file for the Employment Authorization and the Advanced Parole at the same time as the AOS and they're free.

Actually they haven't changed very much. the VJ Guide K!/K3 AO Guide is still current. When she files for AOS she should also apply for EAD/AP. There are plenty of current threads speaking about this very process. It is a frequently discussed topic on the Family-based AOS Forum. Here is a useful USCIS link (be sure to thoroughly read it):

Hi,

Your wife will need either AP or a green card to get back to the US.

Do not leave the US without her AP. If she leaves the US without AP, she will be deemed to have abandoned her AOS. She will be stuck in Russia until you can get her a spousal visa in 8-16 months.
