Hello all, with today's technology it makes it very convenient too keep in touch with ones significant other, my fiance and I use skype and whats app instead of making actual phone calls, what i want to know is how we can use those in order too show that we are in constant contact with each other and has anyony else used these as supporting documents?

Hi, I also skype with my finance. Our visa appointment was last December 2013. What I did was I printed our skype main pages with our name and photo, our profile page. As proof that we have skype accounts. I also printed some of our conversations. Make sure the time comes out. When asked how we communicated I gave them skype pages. I also have viber free messenger I printed that info. too and had it handy.

I printed our whatsapp conversations going back to 2013 until the time we submitted the visa application. Our Facebook chats from the first day we started messaging back in 2011. And I took screen shots of our skype chats, which also show phone calls.

Sorry to piggyback on your question, but do you guys think it's ok we didn't attach our profile pages? Like u know where it shows your name and nickname and such? Neither one of us uses the actual photo on skype so I figured it wasn't necessary and I just explained that such and such nickname is me, and the other is my fiance.

We don't use skype (sound quality sucks) but we use Xfire & play video games together. I have it set to log all our calls (at least once a day) & we both have iPhones, so messaging is free & he downloaded an app that can extract our texts into a printable log. Luckily, his interview is in London & they typically don't look at that stuff, but he'll have it to be safe. Plus I visited him again in may & will be going back in august. So when I send my financial info to him after the noa2, I'll send him all of that as well..

We also use Skype for 95% of our conversation...for free. :-)

Within Skype, you can go back in history, and copy that out to a file and print.

Occasionally, I would call her cell phone using paid Skype calls as well,

and they also provide call and payment histories as well.

We had used wechat sometimes, but I don't know a way to copy out the messages,

other than to do screenshot of each page, which I'm not going to do...cause it's just too much.

Other than that, we also use email to exchange documents,

obviously you can easily copy those to a single file and print them.

We used this program from this website: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/skype_log_view.html after looking for an "easy" way to transfer our skype calls ... you have options for what is included - we just kept the actual phone calls with duration and printed that out in the spreadsheet that it creates. (since we mostly communicate via voice and not text)
