He knows best. Many men got taken out of their own house in handcuffs right out of their sleep, with a follow up restraining order. But then, he may be in small town where everyone knows each other...

Sounds a little non-cohesive that she is offered a stipend for the next 6 months in the same document where she confesses "fraud"

I am a little confused here.

Let me get this right,

The initial post portrays the beneficiary as a "fraud" and so the responses

But then, the OP comes to her defense that they basically have " nothing in common" so my question is if OP doesn't fault the beneficiary for anything then why does he want to send her back?

Contradiction!!

If you dont believe she scammed you then dont create that impression, just divorce her and let her be.

He has obtained an annulment. Problem solved. His concern is his obligation under the I-864 and, believe it or not, her ability to survive in the US. Think about it, $250 per month is not a lot to live on. She probably just got her green card and doesn't even have a job. Now she will have to find a place to live, buy food, find transportation, etc. on her $250 per month he is giving her for the next six months. He still cares about her. But at this point she needs to go away. Fraud or different expectations, it doesn't matter, she needs to be out of his life.

Lets see, she married him, wanted him to move her to the USA and get her a green card, wants to be supported by him, said sex would come after the marriage and moving to the USA but now thinks sex is out of the question with her husband. She married for money and a green card, and never even gave up the sugar once, I think that meets most people's definition of fraud, even if she seems to think its a totally reasonable thing to do to someone.

Caryh, I get it now.

One of my neighbor's brother living in Germany went to Ghana his home country to marry a lady. Honestly speaking, the brother's educational level was high school compared to the lady he went for.But as always, some people will pretend and date you as their opportunity to live outside their country. According to the brother, the lady started causing lots of trouble for young man the moment she stepped foot in Germany. So the guy deviced a plan and went on a visit back to their homecountry. He arranged a family meeting for both families and dropped off his wife and went back to Germany.

Looks like the lady is being "coached" by someone either here or back home. I wonder where all those nice and nurturing people were when the person was back home?

he could take a trip with her to the Philippines and he can slip back into the states without her. You cant raise any suspicion until you are in the Philippines.

Dont hide anything of hers or no one wants to know if you do...ijs.

Good luck

He let the cat out of the bag before he could execute that option. But she apparently signed the annulment papers admitting the fraudulent marriage. She had no interest in being married, she just wanted to be supported and get to the USA. She's got her green card, but removing conditions will be hard for her with annulment papers admitting fraud in the marriage. Karma will take care of her in the long term.

I am less and less convinced about Karma.

How does it work with Politicians, or are they excluded?

Politicians are not human, they are the demons sent to mete out vengeance on those who transgressed in past lives. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

We all transgressed by the sounds of it, some more than others.

OP should keep us posted on this issue.

It is risky having her here..she could threaten to go on govt assistance if he doesnt help her which will come out of OP's pocket eventually.

But I hope none of those "friends" of hers knows it.

In the next day or 2 I am going to touch on the subject of her returning home on my dime. The annulment will take several weeks yet for a judge's signature. I am holding my breath till then.

As far as karma goes, I have spent a lifetime seeing good people punished and the wicked rewarded. It is a nice concept but doesn't work in this world.

The annulment has been filed at the court house.Guess what? She does not want to leave the US. According to my understanding of the AOS, I am not responsible for anything other than shelter, food and medical. Gone is transportation, cell phone, cigarettes and any other "luxury". I also sweetened the deal by informing her that I would pay her airfare to the Philippinesfor up to 2 weeks after the judges signature on the annulment. After that she is on her own.One question, if anyone is still reading. Should she find another US sucker to marry her in the US, how would this affect her immigration and the AOS I am under?

Palu,

Once the annulment is final, you and her are no longer together- period. She no longer (has a right to) live at your

place, use your stuff, raid your fridge, whatever. You can request her to leave the place within a reasonable time (I'd

give her a week, others might give her 24 hours or so..) and then she's on her own.

The ONLY got her GC out of this deal. That GC will be valid for 2 years, but after that, she's out of luck, as RoC will

not happen given the annulment (with 'fraud' as a reason.)

During those 2 years, you do NOT have to provide for her !

If she make it on her own, she'll have to request help from the government. She may or may get that help. If not, well, that will be her problem. If she does, the government MAY try and get that money back from you (because THAT is what the I-864 is for), but, as stated by others already, they don't seem to be doing that all that much.

So... you offered her a ticket back to PI, and she now doesn't want that. Fine. Did your offer to support her for 6 more months include the clause "... after taking the flight back to PI" , meaning, it's only valid *IF* she actually went back, or was it just a separate offer? If so, well, you'll be supporting her for 6 months whilst she's still in the US, but, after that.... all done.

I am happy for you that she at least signed the annulment paperwork, as that mostly will make her "be gone" in 2 years, worst case. If she doesn't leave the US now (as you offered), well, then she'll be on her own right after the annulment is finalized, and, by that time, she may be wishing she HAD agreed to going back home..

Good luck with this.. I hope you'll be OK. Do keep us informed, please!

This afternoon she mentioned going home to her family in the Philippines after the annulment is signed by the judge. YAHOO! The day the annulment is signed I am going to buy her a one way plane ticket and tell her this is it, the last dime I spend on her. She evidently just came on a recon mission to see if what I was giving her met her requirements.Evidently I failed thank the Lord. Of course she let me know that she would not supply any affection, emotional or financial support to the marriage. Well over $26,000 in the last year and a half to this sham marriage that I was in all by myself and didn't know it. A bitter, bitter lesson learned. Now lets hope she sticks to this plan.
