Our noa 2 is approved and everything seems to be in order with an interview date set.

In regards to the i864, does that mean it is approved and we have shown sufficient income to support the beneficiary.

Come interview date, is there a chance the consular might still question the finances?

My spouse has an interview coming up and our application include, sponsors, joint sponsors, and co sponsors, and a previous marriage that I also sponsored that beneficiary.

By the numbers everything looks good, but I want to make sure so my wife knows how to answer.

The NVC collects the I-864 and makes a preliminary determination. The CO at your wife's interview has the final say on the I-864.

thanks. So the NVC makes the preliminary determination based on the poverty guidelines right? If so, what else can the CO consider to have a different say?

For example NVC is only concerned with current salary you make it they accept. A CO may want previous year also above. I know like for Lagos current and previous has to be above guidelines.

I

f the sponsor or co-sponsor has shaky job history. Numerous jobs I hear all the time "Go get a second and third job to make up the difference you need" A CO knows full well they will quit the job soon as you get a Visa in hand so they may be like nope need more stable income.

Time in job can be a a factor. It can just be that CO on that day. And also you said you sponsored previous beneficiary so you are still on the hook for them correct? That can be a factor also.
