Hi. I have questions, please help if anyone have knowledge or experience on my situation right now. I am a green card holder, and have already sent a naturalization package , and the process are all already done. I'm just waiting for the Oat of Ceremony. So here it is, would it affect anything if i travel back to The Philippines for vacation since i'm still waiting for my Oat of Ceremony? Since on the application papers it asked about " how many times have you travel back to the "country i originated since"

Comes the 2nd part of the question. If the answer above is "No, it wouldn't affect anything". I would like to visit The Philippines, and since i still don't have a U.S passport and my Filipino passport is expired. Can i travel to The Philippines with just my military ID? I am an active duty. Response would be greatly appreciated.

hi

yes you can travel but you will need your passport, you aren't a US Citizen yet, so if you travel abroad you will need your country's passport to fly internationally

you will need to renew your passport in order to travel

when you get your letter for the oath ceremony, with the time, date and place, on the back of the letter there are some questions you have to answer yes or no

one of them is have you traveled after the interview and before the Oath Ceremony

Thank you, so that answer my 1st question. Now i know that i can travel and not affect my case status. I will need a passport to do so, but my Filipino passport is expired and can no longer be renew because new passports have chips on them now. Now comes another question. I'm currently stationed at Okinawa, Japan, Camp Foster ( basically i applied for a Naturalization overseas). I have received a mail regarding my case status that it's been process, it's been about good 3 months now that my Naturalization is basically approve. If i check the case status on uscis.gov it's just waiting for the Oat of Ceremony. Am i supposed to get another mail stating when my the when and where the Ceremony will be? Or are they going to let my chain of command know, and my command will let me know about it? ( I'm sorry if this is way off topic) Thank you.
