So, we received an RFE from the NVC. The reason stated is:

"...income indicated on line 11 of the I-864A does not correspond to that shown on the most recent tax return and W-2(s)."

They have instructed me to fill out a new I-864A and submit it. The only issue is, the amounts are correct. The only thing I can thing is the income listed for 2013 ends in a handwritten '2' that could be misconstrued as a '7' at first glance. It is a '2' though, and does match the AGI on the accompanying 2013 tax return. I will be calling them first thing on Monday. My question is about what their procedure will be for this? Will they launch some sort of investigation, etc? Needless to say, I am upset.

I have a new one prepared but I was hoping to avoid that if having them review the correct form they already have would be faster.

takes them just as long to supervisor review as it does for them to review if you resend.

As mentioned before resubmitting would be the quickest.

Also, NVC does not like the forms to be handwritten. They want it typed.

However if something doesn't fit, then you can hand write it in, legibly.

Thanks, but a supervisor was able to pull and review the paperwork the same day to see that it was correct. So...that is the quickest.
