Hey, i need help here plz.....the guy that filled my i-864 is like backing out and the other day they sent an rfe that they needed his tax transcripts and he kept on posting me that he has no time to send it.....its over 30days when the uscis asked for his transcript now....so now he said he will send it on the condition that i will sign another note saying he will not be responsible for any financial difficulty i might have, that he could only assure me of good character and behavior.. even after i explain that's my least concern that its just to get my green card and starts my life, he insists .....he wants to send this note together with the transcript...so what do u think???? and trust me i don't have anyone that can file this affidavit of sponsor for me!that's why it looks like am stuck ! if not i would have look for someone else. okay even if i found someone else how can i handle it since its already half way done.

A sponsor is financially responsible for you until you become a citizen, lose your green card, or work for 10 years. If you send a note with your sponsor saying he is unwilling to be financially responsible for you, then he's not a sponsor and you'll be denied. It's not about good moral character, that's what affidavits are for.

You need to find a new sponsor. And maybe a lawyer.

Your joint sponsor is not willing to help, find another sponsor ASAP. Don't wait time on this sponsor anymore, it will not go anywhere.

If you find someone is willing to do for you, tell them to make new I-864 along with their most recent tax transcript, then send them in with your RFE letter. You can explain on RFE headletter that the other sponsor is not willing to sponsor you anymore.

3 RFEs are too much already, I don't know USCIS is that patient with you, normally they only send 2 times. You have to act accordingly, otherwise your application will be denied, and all your fee will be gone in vain, most important you will be illegal if denied. Good luck.

That paper is ridiculous and completely contradictory to what he is signing off on when he signs an I-864. Did he read the I-864? It states what you are agreeing to. It is a legally binding contract, and if he signs it, then he agrees to every obligation stated on the form. Writing this paper and making you sign it will not negate the legality of him signing the I-864.

If he does not agree to the terms of the I-864, then he should not sign it and not be the joint sponsor. Find someone else that is willing to sign it, or find a way for the USC petitioner/sponsor to earn enough to meet the requirement on their own.

You need to find another sponsor, there is no way around this matter.

in post #4 - the sponser has written a careful rebut of everything covered in the signatory block of the I-864.

IMO, thus invalidating his signature on the I-864.

I not know your backstory, but if you are adjusting due to marriage to a USCitizen, I suggest you two hold off and submit a new Adjustment of Status packet when you two (or the USCitizen Spouse) has more money or assets.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
