$600 is, indeed, outrageous.

Keep shopping around. There are likely to be several civil-surgeons near you.

If you had your medical exam less than 1 year and your DS-3025 was filled properly by surgeons in Serbia, you don't have to take full medical. If your DS-3025 is not properly filled or vaccination is missing, then you only have to do vaccination assessment on I-693 (you will take missing shots and bring record to your civil surgeon so they can fill I-693 for you.) Cost is less than $50 + cost of missing shots.

Please check these surgeons out:

Yes indeed. I paid $500 for mine. I brought my tb test result and mmr shot record from my university. End up had to do tb test again since this test need to be done less than year. I paid $250 for initial fee and around $250 for shot and testing.. if you are student try to be done some stuff at school it would be really cheaper.

Those adjusting from a K-1 that had their medical exam abroad within a year of filing for AOS do not require another medical exam. See this post > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/428381-i-693-report-of-medical-examination-and-vaccination-report/?p=6206232
