I'm kinda in shock. It was obviously a fluke that my husband received an approval a month ago and everyone else here is still waiting. :clock:

I looked at the June filers, and the last approval was Aug 22. Since then, it has just been you and nobody else from the July filers.

Adjustment of Status from H-1B, Family-Based
07/26/2012 - 10/18/2012: 85 Days from Application Received to GC Received.
Removal of Conditions
07/22/2014 - 11/14/2014: 116 Days from Application Received to GC Received.
Naturalization
02/03/2016 - 05/31/2016 : 119 Days from Application Received to Oath Ceremony.

I am a United States citizen!

Is there an issue with the Vermont Service Center? It seems to be taking longer that the CSC.

I don't think there is an issue, the average wait time posted on USCIS website is 6 months so it looks like January will be the magic month for many with early surprises for some along the way. Wishing you and everybody else the best of luck!

Well, putting the stress of 'the wait' aside, at least ROC plays absolutely no part in the long term timeframe of things to come. I was devastated when I first heard Citizenship is 3 years from when the Green Card was first issued, and NOT from arriving here. That added 8 months to the eventual 'citizenship date'.

At least this wait comes without any affect on us long term, right? :)

That being said, CMON, September is the month for July filers, I can feel it in my bones :jest:

As long as VSC approves my application by July 2015, I'm good. I think this is the easiest part of the whole ordeal. You send in your proof and wait. In the meantime you've got your extension letter so you're good for another year and life goes on.

It's good for travel as well. It's basically an extension of your card in paper.

A June filer just got approved.

Adjustment of Status from H-1B, Family-Based
07/26/2012 - 10/18/2012: 85 Days from Application Received to GC Received.
Removal of Conditions
07/22/2014 - 11/14/2014: 116 Days from Application Received to GC Received.
Naturalization
02/03/2016 - 05/31/2016 : 119 Days from Application Received to Oath Ceremony.

I am a United States citizen!

We sent our application in on July 11. I'm forgetting the dates off the top of my head but we have been to one biometrics appointment and then had to return. My wife's fingerprints were not acceptable by the FBI to read so we had to redo only the fingerprints. The person taking the fingerprints on the first occassion noticed they were not too good but sent them anyway. That second appointment was Sept 2. We are still waiting.

We were hoping to head off to Thailand before the prices go up in December. My wife does not want to go until we know for sure the outcome.

Any idea how long this process takes these days? By the looks of the chart above we have a while to wait.
