Recieved NOA1 today. Still waiting on the Biometrics appointment. My wife is due with our first child on 27 August. I just know they are going to send the appointment for the same day.

What is the receipt date on your NOA1? Congrats on the little one due :)

Hi everyone, would love your input.

My Conditional card expires Oct 24, 2014 so my window is now open to file i-751. However, I'm scheduled to travel internationally from August 15 to September 1st. Should I file right before I leave? or After I come back? I don't want to file right away as I don't want to miss Biometrics appointment while I'm away on travel.

Also, am I good to come back to US on Sept 1st on my green card which would expire in about 55-60 days (oct 24)? Thoughts appreciated. Thanks and good luck to all July filers.

Also, am I good to come back to US on Sept 1st on my green card which would expire in about 55-60 days (Oct 24)? Yes! as long as your GC is still valid you shouldn't have any issues returning to the US. Good luck to you :)

We are going to be out of town on vacation that weekend and about 250 miles from Detroit. Should he just stay home from our family vacation or should we try to re-schedule. We did an early walk-in biometrics with no problem. It doesn't hurt to try it; make sure he brings the appointment letter.

Guys,

Just received my biometrics appt letter, It is for 08/11 :D

Can someone updat my status, plz?

HOWEVER they schedule in a very inconvenient location. It was 30 min. for my house by car, not much public transportation around (bad hours), I dont have a car available right now and I would so prefer to go to Boston, 50 min. but with subway available all the time.

Anyway, Could I go for a walk in at the Boston office? Someone knows if it is ok? Thinking about going this week, since I have 2 weeks before my appt. Any advice?

Panyellus, back when we were all in the process of getting our initial (2 year) greencards, I remember reading in these forums, about people getting their biometrics at a location different than their appointment letter.

But then again, some people can't even succeed at having an early walk-in bio at the same location as their letters.

So it's all a gamble. But yes I've read about a few who had success at a different location.

My wife received her NOA letter dated 7/21/14. We sent the package out on 7/16/14. Keeping our fingers crossed. I really don't want to go though another interview.
