And that's a sad part about it. It's like these children are sold like goods at a store. Or traded for something. It seems inhuman to me.

I am not sure if arranged marriage can be condemned as inhuman, but I do think that it is when the prospective brides/grooms are under 18 at the time they are betrothed. As I understand it, there are cultures where arranged marriages are much more consensual, where the prospective brides and grooms are offered several choices, get to meet those choices and are allowed to then decide who they prefer - I am not sure if it's the bride only who gets to do the choosing though . It is also, as I understand it, a role that the match makers take very seriously. They do do their best to find points of compatibility for the people concerned. However, given the choice of having an arranged marriage or choosing your partner yourself, I think most would opt for the latter, and it is probably best if people are completely free to make the choice, but if people are over 18 and want to do it that way, then I wouldn't think that was wrong.
