HELP - Joint Sponsor hasn't filled tax returns for most recent year

Hello guys! We finally completed our NVC stage and we are waiting for the interview to be scheduled. In the "case completed" message NVC send a checklist saying that I need to bring the most recent tax documents for my joint sponsor for the interview, since it wasn't on the package. The issue is that my joint sponsor has asked for an extension in filling his taxes, so he doesn't have that done yet.

Should I be worried? If I bring his extension document and the W2s will that be enough?

We are almost done with this whole process, it makes me panic just to think that something could go wrong now...

Any advice would be very helpful!

You will need proof of his extension but often the consular officer at the interview will require the taxes to be done.
