Parents should stay home and raise their kids. There are immigration rules and visa limits. LPR's have to wait for all immediate family.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

~~moved to general immigration from bringing family members of USC to the USA as topic is not asking about the process and procedures or giving an update on a case~~

I think what is needed first is a petition to reduce the number of signatures required.

None of these seem to get beyond double digits.

You need to tell Obama, he did not get the message.

How about a petition to VJ to limit all these requests for petitions which inevitably just reflect the thread starter's particular circumstances (rather than any kind of general intention to make immigration law more fair....)

That makes sense.

Or they have their own sub forum

How about they need 100 supporters before being able to post a thread?

Sounds to me like parents should be staying home with their children instead.

But who wants to worry about things like personal responsibility when there's rabble rousing to be done?

sad to know your views. WE SHOULD SUPPORT IT RATHER BEING CRITICAL. The main focus of immigration laws is to unite families and not keeping them apart. This is what family immigration is about. i signed it although its not my personal issue. this is humanitarian issue and I have seen families suffering because of this flaw in immigration rules. if siblings and adult children of US citizens are allowed derivative visas for their spouse and minor children why not parents? US govt. realises it thats why this issue has been included in CIR and can be taken up as piece meal.

Really doesn't matter whether it gets the required number of signatures anyway -- a petition to the White House will have no possibility of making a change, since it's written into law. Changing a law -- that's up to Congress, not the President/White House.

you are right but the matter has already been included in CIR and can be taken up as piece meal if CIR is not approved as a whole.
