Hey guys,

I've been checking up my case status on the USCIS website for "touch", but as I looked into the Processing Dates for Applications and Petitions, I found out they are working on the cases with receipt notices on July 17th 2006 for I-129F visa. I'm in shock! I mean, from what I heard from many people who got their NOA1 around october 2006, they are getting their NOA2 already, I'm talking about those applications are at CSC, so I really wonder is that info. I saw on the site fake? Or.... I made a mistake???? I thought I would get my NOA2 soon, but now.... I'm a little down coz of that!

Don't pay attention to the dates listed with USCIS (unless you haven't been approved within a certain timeframe of those dates). It means those are the oldest petitions they are working on which, we don't know why those ones aren't approved (could be anything). Play around with the VJ timelines for your service centre and filing and NOA1 dates and you'll get a better sense of when to expect approvals. You may also want to check the VJ timelines for California and Hong Kong to see how soon they adjudicate those. Seems like some countries take longer than others...

2007-05-10: Biometrics appointment (both - Biometrics review)

2007-06-05: AOS interview letter date

2007-06-13: AOS interview letter received in mail

2007-07-03: EAD card production ordered

2007-07-07: EAD card received! (yay!)

The rule is that the service center has 6 months to process all cases, they put date like that as a way to tell people to not bother calling until 6 months has past, if you do call them before the 6 month mark they will not do any thing other than tell you to wait. The dates there do not reflect actual times, statistically CSC takes 2-3 months lately.

Use the timelines here on VJ to get an idea about how long things take.

Be thankful you are way past the IMBRA problem of last summer.

is RFE for IMBRA moved??

Last spring the people who filed pre-IMBRA I-129F petitions, had their petitions recalled, and everyone was sent an RFE with the IMBRA page to fill out and return. The current I-129F page 3 is the IMBRA part. So at this point no one gets an RFE for IMBRA unless they forget to fill out page 3 of their petition application.

Ditto what the others said - and as far as getting your NOA2 'soon'? Well, you will - if you consider about 3 months as 'soon'.
