Hi,

We got married in Nov. 2013. My wife applied for AOS in Febuary and she just received her conditional green card. Her maiden name is still listed as her last name on her green card. On our marriage certificate, we did change her last name to my last name. Now, how can we change her last name to my last name on her green card? Thanks.

Besides the marriage certificate, were any legal documents (such as a passport) changed to her married name? I don't know how the AOS process works, but for the IR-1/CR-1 side of things, the green card comes in the name in the passport. So, if her passport still showed her maiden name, that might be why her green card came in that name.

I believe you'll have to file an I-90 and pay $450 if you want to change the last name.
