DS 261 question!!!

Hello,

I have filled out my DS-261 last friday which was July 27th. It's still saying "completed"

However I called NVC to ask something else, but they said they can't see my DS 261 on their system yet.

Is it normal that the agent can't see it on their computer system till its reviewing stage???

Also I put myself, bebeficiary as the main contact, but I did put my husband's USA address on DS 261 for convenience. (I live in Sydney and will move back to Korea soon)

I'm little bit worried that I should have put my husband as an agent or put my own sydney address on my ds-261 after reading some visajourybey threads.

Would it be okay or should I have to re-submit my ds 261 putting my hubby as the agent?

Thanks a lot for reading my thread. I hope you all your guys swift process!!!!!

Anytime you resubmit the DS-261 you knock back the time frame from which it will be reviewed and added to the case file, thus making the IV invoice pop up.

Have you read the NVC process wiki?

IMHO, however, you should resubmit this and have your husband and his address as the agent. You can still call the NVC, you can still receive emails, etc... It's just best to have the petitioner as the agent in case any mail is sent out.

NLR

thank you very much for your reply. Yes, I have read NVC wiki sereval times before I submitted DS 261.

I thought it would have been okay to put as myself a main contact person, since I and my husband would get email responses from NVC anyways.

I never resubmitted DS 261. I only loged in and saw the status saying "completed". Would it be still counted as resubmitting?

Thank you very much once again.

as long as you didn't OPEN or resubmit it, you're fine. Seeing the status online in your CEAC is fine.
