Depends on time of year,

Winter: Go south like Florida, New Orleans, San Diego, LA, Las Vegas or perhaps Hawaii!

Spring or Fall: Perhaps the South West, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico for the Scenery in the Grand Canyon area.

Summer: North places. Alaska, Yellow Stone, Wyoming, Dakotas, Upstate NY, New England or big cities like NYC, DC, Chicago, Boston...

The USA has so many great things to do with out having to leave the country.

I am going to say FL. I moved to Tampa Bay six months ago but we spent a nice weekend (had to work, couldn't ask for a week off for various reasons) in West Palm Beach. Not all of Florida is the same, just because you went to one part doesn't mean everywhere else is exactly like it.

Upstate NY I'm not so sure about but...that's because I'm from there :)

Not unless you have your advanced parole which would be pretty hard to get straight after your marriage (takes a few weeks at least I think). Definitely do NOT leave the USA without that or your greencard. But, you can still have your beach honeymoon in Hawaii or somewhere else on the continental US coast. We went to the Smoky Mountains....I always thought a nice cabin in the woods would be romantic. In hindsight it would have been a better idea to go there after we'd been married awhile - being shut up in a cabin in a town with nothing to do when you're newly married/stressed/have crazy expectations isn't the best idea. A nice trip with lots of sightseeing and romantic places would be better for a honeymoon me thinks. Although, we did get to have a nice black bear on our back porch :P:)

We went to Vermont, which was beautiful. But then it was in June - I wouldn't recommend it at this time of year!! I love Maine also, but I'm somewhat biased by virtue of living here ;)
