Mmb906 someone from Houston June filler got inline notice and interview notice online both in one day!

seems like finally Houston is moving and hope to hear from em soon.

really!? that' great. When you go to the USCIS website it just says that as of October 31, 2014 they were finishing up filers from March 2014. I'm assuming they will update it January 30? Who knows.

I got this as an update on my case status online and i don't know what it means? In November 2014 i went online and requested an update. This is the response (finally) however i don't know what it means and haven't received anything via text or email (which i'm signed up for):

On January 5, 2015, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number SR&************, was completed.

then after that was this:

On January 5, 2015, we sent a response to your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number SR*********.

Yep I am pretty sure they are behind on that updates. couple of people already started getting Interview notification for June filler meaning when these people are done we should be next in row!

mmb906 - The same thing happened to me. I got the interview schedule update and status change the next day after my SR was shown to be complete . I am in Dallas field office area.

Finally got scheduled for an Oath date, or at least they mailed me the notice:

"We scheduled your oath ceremony for Receipt Number **********. We sent a notice with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony to the address you gave us. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by February 11, 2015,"

Hello Moon Light:

Thank you so much for your warm felicitation. At this point, I can say that waiting on my interview to be scheduled was arguably the most nerve-racking part of the process as I have a strong dislike for the unknown, BUT the days do go by fast, and you will be done with your interview before you know it.

I want to apologize in advance if I am a bit hazy on some details, It has been about a month since, and I find that my memory is not quite what it used to be in my younger years

I filed for naturalization after being a permanent resident for at least 5 years. My interview was scheduled for 10.30 am. The letter cautioned against arriving earlier than 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment time due to space restrictions. I heeded that in my usual way, and arrived at the door about 10 minutes prior to my appointment time. BIG MISTAKE. There was a long line outside the building that was waiting to go through security which was moving rather slowly because they were allowing one person at a time though the doors, completing their scan, before allowing the next person entry. I realized this after I had been standing in line for a few minutes, and were it not for the kindness of the people at the front of the line, I would have been late for my appointment

I walked into the almost full waiting room at exactly 10.30 am, just as my immigration officer (IO) was calling my name (I was pleasantly surprised by how prompt they were) and so had to rush through the check in process, where they basically asked for my GC and interview notice for verification. I apologized profusely, and was afraid that my tardiness would affect my interview, but my IO was very very pleasant in light of the situation. There was some small talk as the IO took me to their office, which I suspect was used to gauge my understanding of the English language.

I was placed under oath before I sat down in the IO's office, and the interview begun. The IO explained that we would do the reading and writing portion of the test first, followed by the civil questions, and then we would go through my application to verify that the information on it was accurate. I read a short question sentence, and then wrote down the response. (I am not sure, but I think I read: Who is the father of our country? and was asked to write: George Washington is the father of our country). The civil questions were next:

• The House of Representatives has how many voting members?
• We elect a U.S Representative for how many years?
• In what month do we vote for President?
• When do we celebrate Independence Day?
• Who is the Chief Justice of the United States now?
• Name one war fought by the United States in the 1900s.

The IO read the questions out to me, and typed my answers on their computer. After six questions, I was informed that I had passed the civil portion. We then went through my every question on my application. I was asked how I became a permanent resident (through marriage), asked whether I am still married to the same person (I am) and a few questions about where I live, who I live with, how much rent is, utilities, where I work, how long I have worked there etc. The IO put notations on my application, and then check marked all the yes/no responses. I was asked if I had any other documents that I wished to submit in support of my application (I had none) and was then asked to sign the application and the back of the photographs I had submitted along with it. It was interesting to note how thick my file was, It looked like it contained every single sheet of paper I had ever submitted in support of my entire immigration process.

The IO then printed out a single sheet of paper, checked the box recommending approval, and congratulated me on passing the interview. I was informed that if final approval was granted, I would receive a notice in the mail with my oath ceremony details. I was then walked out to the exit door that led to the lobby of the building at around 11.00 am. I was surprised that such a short time had elapsed, it felt a lot longer because of how thoroughly the IO went over my application responses.

Hope this is helpful. If there is one thing I cannot stress enough:

TLDR: Please allow yourself ample time to go through security before your appointment.

My Husband had his interview yesterday morning. I dropped him of at 8:10 he was done 10:30....He passed !

I wanted next week's oath, but they didn't tell him anything about it. So here's hoping for next one on

Just finished my interview today. Figured I should share my experience.

My interview was on Saturday Jan 24th 2015 9:00AM at Fairfax, Virginia. I arrived with my spouse at about 8:10AM, there was only one person in front of us at the security check so we went in right away. At the USCIS office, I handed in my interview notice form to the front desk officer, he told me to wait. The waiting room was pretty much empty this early in the morning, only 5-6 other people were waiting before me. About 15 minutes later I was called and was escorted into an interview room. I stood to swore to tell the truth, the officer asked for my green card and driver's license, then he started my test right away.

The history questions:

1) What's the national anthem of the United States?

2) What's the rule of law?

3) What ocean is on the west coast?

4) What happened on September 11th?

5) What does the 13 strips on the flag represents?

6) How old do you have to be to vote?

Reading:

How many senators are in the United States?

Writing:

There are one hundred senators.

My officer told me congratulations you passed - he talked super fast so the whole test only lasted for less than a minute.

He asked if the person I was with was my spouse so I said yes, he was glad to hear that and told me that's pretty important. He then read to/asked me if the information on my N400 form were correct, birth date, work place, address, trip outside US, parents' birth place, whether I was still married to the same person, etc. Then he went over the long list on the N400 form to check off each question: whether I was a criminal, whether I was in any dangerous organizations, etc., I said no to all, and he asked me if I would be loyal to the US, if I would fight in a war for US, etc., I said yes to all. I signed the the last two pages of my N400 form, including two passport photos I filed along with the form. Then my officer stamped "approved" onto the first page of my N400, gave me a piece of paper that said I passed, and told me I will receive my ceremony letter in about a month and that if I wish to travel in between this period of time I can just use my green card.

The entire interview lasted for about 12 minutes, very nice officer, very pleasant experience. I brought plenty of documentations but my officer did not ask to see any. While he escorted me out, he said that my case was very straight forward and pretty easy.

Just give yourself plenty of time to memorize the test questions and make sure to review your N400 form before your interview. It will make you feel much better during the process and make a good impression. Good luck everyone
