My wife did her interview on Thursday. We were scheduled for 8:00am, arrived there at 7:30 as advised and admitted to the interview at 8:20. The interviewer only took my wife and didn't let me to go with her. The interview took about 45 minutes as the interviewer was extremely slow, as my wife said. Then since we needed to be scheduled for the oath ceremony as fast as possible, we waited for an additional hour to get the letter in hand. So, we are set for the next week ceremony :)

I had my fingerprint appointment on Aug 27th, and I still haven't heard anything about an interview or being in line for an interview. I did receive a yellow letter telling me what I will need to bring to my interview, but my online status still says "we received your application August 1, 2014..."

My field office is Detroit.

Should I call and ask about my interview?

So I had my interview yesterday and had my oath ceremony today in Philly. I'm officially an American! My journey comes to a gratifying end.

Had my interview on 13th morning in Washington DC/Fairfax field office. Went in 20 mins early after security check had to wait for 10 mins. Officer promptly called at 10:30 AM interview time.
He took me to his office, asked all the questions that I had answered on my application to make sure it was right.
He asked me when I got my green card where was I working if same company as the one who petitioned, I said yes.
He asked me where I am working now, told him company name.
He asked if my wife is staying in India as I had mentioned in application, I said yes.
couple of other questions related to my application, nothing special.

Then started questions:
- Name one branch of government
- How many supreme court justices are there
- How many years does the senator get elected for
- If President and Vice president do not get to do their duty who is next in line.

Two other questions I forgot but answered them correct.

Reading question: When was Columbus day
Writing Question: Write Columbus day is in October

He said I passed interview, I asked him OK that's it and he said yes.
Then asked me if I can attend next oath ceremony on Nov 25, I said yes and he printed and gave me the oath letter. My online status is not yet updated!.

Did your friend call them? I guess we suppose to call if we get the letter or even if we don't get the letter!

My friend didn't call yet since she is expecting to receive the letter by tomorrow.

Cool, congratulations Aswanco. Sure, we can meet up there, I am starting from Herndon VA and plan to reach a bit early. I wonder how long this ceremony will be as I need to get back to office in Herndon ASAP after that.
