Thanks! I had posted this Q earlier too...if they do schedule my interview, will the online case status reflect that? if I was scheduled, instead of saying you are inline, wouldn't it say you have been scheduled for an interview?

anyone who's been scheduled for an interview confirm this? Atleast this way I can tell if its a case of missing notice vs uscis still not having scheduled me.

I got email last Monday that my interview is scheduled and that I should receive the interview notice in mail. I still haven't received it, but my current status online is:

On November 3, 2014, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC*#########. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your interview notice by December 3, 2014, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Congratulations Greeneyez. I'm quite sure you will get scheduled for Oath for Dec 10th (if not Dec 2nd).

P.S. I've already been placed in queue (had my interview on 23rd) and I'm currently waiting for mine, too. I was hoping to get naturalized on the 19th but it seems like it'll be on the 2nd or 10th next month!

Hi aimar10,

Yes I was thinking it would probably be December 10th, but I am hoping that maybe I can get scheduled for January 14th as I will be going back to Canada over the Christmas holidays, so getting an American passport 2 weeks before Christmas will be very hectic and not to mention expensive, but we will see I guess when I am scheduled.

I did not see your name on the timeline to see your schedule of when you filed, and all the events up until then. Would you mind sharing your dates and we can add to the tracker?

So it has been over 2 weeks since your interview and you still have not received anything in the mail...Did your status change online saying that you have been scheduled?

I would like to hear from you when you do get your notice so that I can compare it with mine..Appreciate it.

****Also, is anyone having issues with the new USCIS website? I am trying to go into my account and it keeps giving me error message, and keeps showing as loading, so I just went into the USCIS and did check status instead***

Appreciate everyone's feedback.

I filed mine in June (23rd, I think) and had an interview on the 23rd. It changed to "placed in que" on the 26th and there's been no update since that. I believe I'd receive/see another notification once they send me an Oath letter. I really don't think I'll be scheduled for the 19th for 2 reasons. One. It ls almost here (9 days) and more importantly, since there are two Oath schedules right after it (2nd and 10th), they probably wouldn't have enough people scheduled for their Oaths. According to this (you may want to filter everything and select SF as district and other dates)http://www.trackitt.com/usa-immigration-trackers/n400, there was a guy who had his interview on the 28th and he's not seen any update since 30th (soft update for "placed in que for Oath).

If you got scheduled for the 2nd, then you should be good as far as passports is concerned. From my understanding, people can receive their passports in 2 weeks or so. Even if you didn't get scheduled for the 2nd but ended up getting it on the 10th, it shouldn't really make any difference as you can easily travel to Canada using your Canadian passport.

And lastly, USCIS just changed the user interface on the website. It looks much cleaner/neater and they're probably going through bug related issues. That's why the page isn't loading for me as seamlessly as I'd have liked.

I received my interview letter for December 11th, however I will not be able to attend due to work and I will be rescheduling it.

I'm not sure if I should put 12/11 as my interview date in the timeline table or wait for a new date.

Want to hear something stupid??

I applied on July 21st 2014, and did my fingerprint on Aug 12th 2014. After almost 4 monthes of not hearing anything, I got a message saying that my fingerprint notice is just being sent out TODAY Nov 11th 2014. Seriously??!! And guess what, today is Veteran's day, no customer service available.......

I really hope this is just a mistake and the letter that's being sent out is the interview letter....

Sigh*

same exact thing happen to me today... I was like what's going on??

:( the lady who did my fingerprints at the Fairfax field office had to ask a much more experienced guy to guide her. I really hope that she did not just not update my information to the USCIS.

The best thing we can do is call tomorrow morning. I will keep you updated.

This happens from time to time. Sometimes fingerprints are determined to be of insufficient quality after they are sent for background checks and they have to be repeated. If this happens, they ask you do do your biometrics again. If they are "unreadable" after the second attempt, they ask you to get a police clearance report from each place you've lived for the last five years.

Thx Jimmy.... it sucks that we have to be the one waiting just because of their mistakes.

I was researching about it as well: back in 2006-2008, people said the 2nd fingerprint letter means that your name check was cleared. And a lot of people say that after 2 weeks of the 2nd fingerprint process, they received the interview letter.

Hopefully our case is going to speed up soon.

It's not really a mistake... Some people have "light" fingerprints that are hard to scan. Others have sweaty hands. Others have marks or scars partially covering their fingerprints. The people who do your biometrics do the best they can to capture the images and then send them off. Once they are put into the system for a background check, they are supposed to show that there are no criminal matches, but sometimes they can't confirm that if the image quality is poor.

It's unfortunate that it takes so long for you to find out and for you to do your biometrics again, but unfortunately, the N400 process is a slow one that takes several months. I hope your second set of prints works out so that there are no further delays.

How long after your friend's 2nd fingerprint notice did she receive her yellow letter?

Thanks!
