N-400 July 2014 Filers

Hello Everyone!

I got my I797c today. It says..

The above application has been received by our office and is in process. Our records indicate your personal information is as follows:

Date of Birth: Month XX, XXXX

Address where you live : xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxx

Please verify your personal information listed above and immediately notify our office at the address or phone number listed below if there are any changes.

Upon receipt of all required Record Checks, you wil be scheduled to appear for an interview at your local USCIS field office.

I callled the USCIS customer service number and told them the information indicating in this letter is right and up to date.

Could anyone please explain if its normal and if everyone receives it or not?

Also, please update in to my timeline that they received my package on July,29 2014 and Notification date is July 31, 2014, I received my I797 on August 07,2014.

Doesn't seem like those people working at USCIS are well trained on 319b process.They sent my packet back too with rejection letter. I tried calling USCIS, but it was no help. I decided to resend the entire packet again as is and another person reviewing it accepted it second time.

Since your packet is already with USCIS, I would suggest contacting USCIS and speaking with supervisor. Also, get their email address and emailing them as well.

Having a similar experience as you. Called on August 4th and customer service opened a referral and advised we would get a callback in 3-5 days. Called back again today and got an argumentative CS person who first insisted 319b is for military only, then insisted that US Embassy's instructions to do biometrics at a 3rd party provider in China were incorrect because "they are not USCIS." Then she insisted that regardless of where we had fingerprints done, we still have to pay the biometrics fee or else the "application will go nowhere." All of which are completely untrue. Finally asked to speak to an IO who advised that they do not do call backs, they will send a letter with their determination within two weeks after investigating the problem. Lesson learned: the first line customer service personnel are a waste of time and consistently give incorrect information.

It says that my priority date is 7/30/2014.

What's a priority date? Does this date has any kind of importance regarding the processing of my N400 !?
