N-400 July 2014 Filers

I've been popping in each day with the hopes that someone would have started a July Filers thread...but I haven't been able to locate one. If one does exist, my apologies... And if not, then I guess this served as the official July 2014 Filers? Lol

I actually sent my packet off in the last week of June, but I just rec'd tracking confirmation from FedEx today that it was rec'd. So I guess this will officially make me a July filer.

Good luck to everyone else filing this month! By the looks of it, the turn around is a lot better than I thought.

Anyone start studying already? I was just going to use those smart phone apps.

I sent off mine last day of June. I opted priority mail with tracking, and It's delivered on July 2nd. I always thought FedEx would be faster...I downloaded the android app too!

I sent mine 06/30/2014 by USPS to the phoenix service center and they received my packet yesterday and now i am waiting for an email

That they accept my packet .. I believe that will a 5 months procee and i either having my name change too !!!

I see a lot of people doing the name change thing. I'm assuming it's the last name? Like marriage wise? I already did that with my AOS so I have no change at this time.

5 months doesn't seem so bad. Anyone know how the civics test works? Like out of a possible 100 questions they ask you a random 10 questions? Gosh... I hate tests they give me anxiety lol....

Mind you I can't wait to finally be a citizen and feel like my journey is complete.

I love positive and upbeat people and you seem like one.

You are correct the civics test has a possible 100 questions and they will only ask you six and up to 10 questions, meaning if you get six correct the Interviewing Officer will stop and you have passed the civics test.

At your biometrics appointment they will give you a CD that has all 100 questions, you will have plenty of time to study and find out the questions are not really that difficult after all. Listen to the CD and soon you'll know every question, knowledge gives you confidence and less anxiety.

My eligibility window opens on 7/7. I have my packet ready and am waiting to mail it on 7/7. Looking forward to this last step of my immigration journey!

Hey there! my husband and I are reviewing my packet and will mail it tomorrow. He did this process 4yrs and he said listening to the CD everyday made him memorize all the answers to the civics question. Good luck to all of us!

Guys, I just encountered a question. My eligibility window opened on July 2nd, so I mailed my application on June 30th and it'd delivered right on time on July 2nd. However I dated my application June 30th. Will this cause any problem?

Hi Everyone! July Filer here!

I just sent my application to the Phoenix lockbox first class certified mail so it should be there by the end of the week! I also decided to send a personal check for the $680 as it would be nice to know when they cash it!

Hoping for a smooth and quick process, although I do have one bump in the road. Me and my husband got audited for our taxes and unfortunately we had some items that were not deductible that our accountant used on our taxes so now we owe Federal Taxes. However, we have a signed installment agreement with the IRS and are in good standing with out account and plan to pay off our debt in three years or less. So from what I have read online it seems as long as you have a plan to pay back your taxes, we should be ok. I haven't been in any trouble with the law or anything like that, this is our only hiccup.

So here's hoping that everything is processed quickly and smoothly! Looking forward to getting the NOA1

Reformatted the list so we can better track the case. Removed the year as it's the list of people filing this month, added delivered date as it may vary depending on the mailing method used i.e. regular vs FedEx, etc, added notification dates so others are aware of when to expect notifications, added fingerprints completed date in addition to the official fingerprints date as many people walk-in and get their fingerprints taken earlier than the official fingerprints date which may speed up the interview date.

Let me know if there are any issues.
