Should I mail my wife my passport for CRBA? I know you can get a notarized copy etc. But its easier to mail my passport and then my wife will return it. My next trip overseas will be in September so I will not need it. Maybe it would look more favorable to whom ever is adjudicating our childs case also?

I had CRBA interview for our child last January 24 and was approved same day, you dont need to send your original passport, my husband just sent by mail his notarized passport copies. Im sure she will be ok with the notarized copies besides it was in their instruction also that if the husband cannot attend the interview then provide a notarized copy.

Thanks..One of my big concerns is that my passport has no stamps for entry into the Phillipines...It was stolen after my last trip and I had to get a new one. We are gathering hotel reciepts etc for evidence that I was there at conception. Also we were married around the time our child was conceived and our Marriage certs and pictures of our ceremony.

Did you get every page Notarized? What was the process you used?

Yes, my husband sent the notarized copies which had stamp on it, he had it notarized at a notary public in his area. They are concerned on proof that you were together in the time of conception, so if you can find photos that you were in Philippines that would be a good proof plus all the evidence you are gathering now. Actually we were not married at time of conception of our baby and i was so worried too before the interview but just tell your wife to confidently answer their questions and make sure she remembers all the dates like when you met her, your visits, etc. When is your interview date?

Our interview is coming up on the 16th of July. So I must UPS our package tonight to her. My wife will go to the hotel we stayed at and get a reciept from when we stayed there. We have lots of wedding photos from right around the time our child was concieved. Also my wifes IPAD has dates attached to our photos as well. I am not sure how much the IPAD photos will help cause its electronic.

The first to interview her will be a filipina staff, in my case we only gave like 20 photos total from year 2009 when we met till we got married last year, our son was born 2010 and the filipina staff even returned some photos which when asked why she did that, she said she just choose the ones she thinks was needed. It is up to you if you want to bring more photos, do what you think will be good for your case. The filipina staff was very nice and the american consul also, i hope she get the chance to have both of them on her inteview :) the filipina staff have more questions than the americam consul :)

What kind of questions will they ask? Did you print your photos on regular paper or photo paper? My wife thinks that since our child looks exactly like me there will not be any issues. Do you think that is true?

The filipina asked me when and how i met him, from the time i met him when did we became a couple and when did we started living together. What is my husband's work before and now, which city he live and where he was born, names of his parents, mostly personal stuff which I'm sure your wife won't have problem answering. We printed it in a photo paper and your wife is right, the american consul even told me that my son looks so much like his father. :)

Actually we hired a US Lawyer which has office in Makati and they did all the paper work for us, I'm working in Bahrain and my husband is in US, we decided that my parents will attend the interview and will just give them Special Power of Attorney and they will attend the interview together with our lawyer. But US Embassy in Bahrain won't notarized my passport copies as I am not a US Citizen but they asked me to get a request letter from US Embassy Manila informing them to notarized my copies. I was stressed out as we're not getting any positive response so I told my husband that I will just take an emergency leave from work and attend the interview.

I checked the site of US Embassy Manila and i will try to guide you on how to fill out the DS11.

1. Copy and paste this link: https://pptform.state.gov/?Submit2=COMPLETE+FORM+DS-11+ONLINE

2. Tick the box where it mentioned (I have read the Privacy and Computer Fraud and Abuse Acts Notices and Disclaimers) then clik SUBMIT

3. Then another page will open and it will be the US Department of State Online Passport Application there it mentioned APPLY ONLINE then click SUBMIT and it will open another page to input all the information about the applicant.

Hope the info i gave will work and you can fill out the DS 11.
