Hi,

My wife had a visa interview on may 20th, 2014 on kathmandu, Nepal. At the end of the interview she was asked to submit the original date of birth certificate in the native language. We submitted it the next day and the she was told to come pick up the visa next week. Next week when she went, they told it will take some time to get her visa. Since then if we check online the case status says "administrative processing". They did't gave her form 221(g) either. They have her passport and all original documents. Now its been almost 45 days. What is this and how long you guys think it will take to get resolved?

Aren't they suppose to give form 221(g) for administrative processing or sometimes they don't? I am confused. Can we call NVC to get more info on the case?

Thank you

In my case I had my interview on march 18.

Everything was goog, no missing documents, no 221g given. They took my passport and they said congratulations your visa is approved.

They put me in ap and I dont know why, and no visa yet.

So they put in ap without give 221g.

All we can do when we are in ap is wait.
