Hello. I received Packet 3 this week containing a list of documents to prepare. However, it says "do not send these at the embassy in advance". The packet also instructs me to email them after I fill out the DS-260 and DS-261. What should I be expecting after that? Do I just wait for them to give me a signal as to what to do with the documents? Do I mail them or bring them myself to the embassy? Or do I just prepare it for the interview itself?

The documents in packet 3 we should bring during the interview. After filling out ds 260 send them an email (ivmnl) with the case number, name, dob and contact number on the subject line. They emailed me back a day after saying I can sched the interview online or thru the call center.

If you look at the Philippines sub forum, you'll notice the no appointments available issue is not new.

As for the date showing up as being available, it seems to be a computer glitch. Its showing the dates available for returning residents.

There is an add on that let's you look for changes on a web page that has been used by several, including myself. Check the Philippines forum for details on that. If you don't want to take the time for that, you can log on and just refresh the calender page every 5 mins or so. The best time I think to catch a cancelation is between 4-5 pm mnl time. That's when I caught my date.

If you do get a date from a cancelation, its prolly gonna be close, so you might want to get the medical done in case so you can get a date if it shows up with less than a week to go.
