My GC (adjusted from a k1 visa on 2012) is from a few months to expire. According to the USCIS I can ROC on january.

I was reading the guidelines to start preparing all the documents I might need and they ask for proof of our marriage, again -_- well I guess they want to know if I'm still married to the same US citizen.

We have a 5 months old baby boy, is that enough proof or do I need to send more proof? And after the initial filling, how much does it take to get the new gc?

Go to USCIS.gov/forms and download the I-751 form and its instructions. They will tell you what you need to provide and fill out. You should have taken a look at them 2 years ago upon the receipt of your conditional GC so that you could keep track of/start building your list of evidence to complete the ROC. Having a baby together is NOT enough proof. Good luck :)

05/22/06 - Biometrics scheduled (online update) and appt letter was mailed on 05/20/16 - Day 12

05/24/06 - Biometrics letter became viewable online (appt scheduled for 06/07/16) - Day 14

05/27/16 - Received Biometrics letter in mail - Day 17

05/31/16 - Was denied walk-in fingerprints with just 1 person left in line. Milwaukee office, boo! - Day 21

06/07/16 - Biometrics completed in Milwaukee, WI - Day 28

12/21/16 - Passed Citizenship test/Interview was successful! - Day 197

01/26/17 - I am a US citizen!!! - Day 233

Hi Andrea, a baby is good proof, but not enough proof that you can only send that. You need to send a lot of other proof too, like tax returns, quarterly statements from a joint bank account, joint lease or mortgage, etc. Good luck!
