My fiance recieved his packet from US EMbassy in London, UK. On the instruction sheet he got it says to fill " DS-156 Non Immigrant Application in Duplicate" . So when he went to fill out on line this form he got the 3 pages, with the bar code on them. However the instructions he got from US Embassy says "in duplicate" what does that mean? He fills out those three pages agian,or does he makes photo copies of the orig. 3 pages.????????

Print it 2 times after you complete it.

Also you should use the on line form, it generats a unique bar code that contains all the data that you enter into the form, the consular officer just has to scan the code to enter the data accurately into the system.

the bar code printed on the third page contains the info that was entered on the form. the Embassy just needs to scan to enter the info into their system.

I don't think the number on the form means anything just a serial number, just the big one on the last page, it contains all the data on the form.

Yes most all the embassies and consulates prefer the computer bar coded one.
