Can anyone remind me how long it takes to get you medical back after your appt? My fiance was refused last year for marijuana but is becoming eligible again Aug 1. The embassy gave him another interview Aug 8. Aug 1 is a holiday in Jamaica, so the soonest he can get his medical done is Aug 4. If he's approved pending his medical report what will happen? What is the current timeline Jamaica is running to receive your visa?

That's what we remember from last year but weren't 100%. My fiance lives in Negril, having the medical done in Mobay. The plan is to pick up the report when it's ready and have it sent by DHL, since it's free for registered users. I checked the DHL website and if we have the report to the office by 10:30, it should be in Kingston by the end of the same day.

Right now I am hoping we aren't one of the current horror stories that it take a month to receive the visa. I saw one that was a 4 day issue. Although I'm seriously doubting we could be that lucky, just want a normal outcome after having to wait an extra year already.

Good Luck, I am glad that you are still together through all of this stress. Visa being issued has been crazy, folks are still waiting. Work on his police cert and non- impediment again, those he used last year are expired.

He just got his non impediment about a week ago and he's getting the police certificate end of this month, as he already payed for it and dropped off the receipt. Everything underway and going very smoothly right now.

I, too, am glad we are still together. We love each other, and thankfully I am self employed so I can travel as often as I want. Since I have met him, I haven't been away from him for more then 2 months at a time but mostly see him every 4-6 weeks. I will be with him when he goes for his interview. His mom doesn't live far from Kingston, so we'll be anxiously waiting.

I appreciate those on here who are willing to help and also cheer others on who are going for their interview and congratulate those who are approved but also show support for those who are refused or denied. Although we don't know each other, it sometimes feels like one big family
