i 751 interview after divorce

Hello everyone,

I just had my interview for removal of conditions in the local USCIS office. I had my lawyer with me but all the questions were addressed to me. The officer seemed to be nice but she had suspicious questions but I answered them truthfully and confidently and it seemed that my answers made sense to the officer. At the end, the Io said that she would review the case and then make a decision. My lawyer said I did good and I did my best and that officer seemed kind of not sure about the case!! What do you guys think?? And how long does it usually take them to make a decision after the interview.

Without knowing the questions, your answers, and the officer's responses to your answers, it is impossible to gauge how it went. Maybe the questions were routine, maybe not. Who knows? Your case was not approved on the spot and your lawyer's opinion is irrelevant, though comforting. Good luck! :)

It can take even years for you to get your answer from USCIS. By the way, is it normal to call other "dude"? Because I think you use it with your friends? Please correct me.

"sorry dude I can't go into details." Sounds like a sick person who refuses to tell the doctor about his true feeling. Sorry for you! Only you and your lawyer know the detail and just you too can predict the outcome. When you become economical of certain details that may help others in similar situation as you, it make no sense! By the way, you have to sound arrogant. Good luck!

Agreed! I too wondered why the unhelpful and rude response. They provided no details and then want our input. We have nothing to go on but a snarky reply. What are they really asking for?
