American Service Center at the Embassy might means walk-in appointment will be phase-out eve of July 30th and new mail-in only rule set to kick in on August 1st. I make my posting not long ago at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/499643-crba-no-available-appointments/

I just about to make CRBA appointment for month of August while ago. I discovered every opening is gone into grayish. Only the Embassy is the one now, authorize you or them, to select the yellow slot into blue "booked' appointment scheduling.

My assumption is that their mailroom is being re-configuration to sort out new mailbox size for this incoming mail bound for ASC upstairs. As for me regarding this "wait and see" question, I would putting my faith and go ahead mail my CRBA, and you as well might be wise to do so.

General things in VJ is Do-It-Yourself site which we all would help, giving advices, pointers and tips. I would like to think those law practitioners-for-paid and legal guide (the navigator-for-hired) out there: those who might like us not to perform DIY but letting them do all legal paperworks, pretending s/he know the best route for shortcut or else to apply jurisdiction, e.g. under the table, are merely fable and cannot stop us. This is information age we are living. WE all have same knot to tie, same kind of anxiety, same kind of sweat, of facing judgmental day whether CO grant our visa or not. If you do what we did you will achieve nothing less but pride in your accomplishment.

Question for you: will you be willing go through all navigating to learn and study trial and errors of others and then apply toward your pathway to get U.S. visa? Even this means making feedback or giving input from your candid observation.

I emailed ACS and was told that we can now start sending in applications and I will do that today.

Is it American Citizen Service's email address you were dealing with? Which email address did use, the one that they respond you back? I want to add this address to my contact book should problem arise. My wife and I both are Deaf and, since the Embassy doesn't admitted anyone without appointment letter, I gotta to check for their readiness to configure video remote interpreting before our appointment.

As through this new change slightly delay in my plan returning there, it is welcome relief since they can prepare ahead and installing software from Federal Relay Service.

I think this mail-in appointment will skip initial consular review at the window by Filipino consular, as it was done in the past. Giving fairness to those American (and Filipinas/Filipino spouse, too), who go on wrong day when it liable to be crowder. Those people would either be ignorant and rude or cheat or doesn't know about it) by not doing online appointment system first before they go. Living in the Philippines for 7 years gave me this oversight: not all expatriate behave courtesy and respect toward others.

Thanks for latest news. I am going to finish up remaining evidences and photos and forward entire docket to my wife in Cagayan de Oro. She have the rest of this requirement. Plus, photocopies are whole lot cheaper there. P1=$0.0231.

Here's the email address that you asked for:

acsinfomanila@state.gov

I sent all the photocopied documents yesterday to USEM using Air21. Cost me about P205 (pesos). I didn't send any photos of my child growing up. The only photos I sent was his school IDs. Hopefully I'll get an appointment date soon. I'll let you guys know.

My guess is that they are accepting mail-in applications now but there are no available appointment slots until Aug. When I started the process mid-April, all the appointments until July were booked. I just lucked out and got one for May.

Well at least it puts me in line and no need to keep refreshing my browser every hour trying my luck to get an appointment.
