My mom filed a petition for my brother when she was still a greencard holder and this July she is scheduled for interview for naturalization. My brother is under F2A ( Son/daughterof a greencard holder under 21) . What will happen to his case if my mom become American citizen? Please help....

when your mother becomes a citizen in july a visa will be available immediately for your brother if he is under age 21 at time of citizenship. she must notify uscis of this change.

Where is your brother's case now? USCIS or NVC?

Once mom gets her naturalization certificate, she must inform the proper office so her son's category will be upgraded from F2A to IR2.

She notifies USCIS if the I-130 has not been approved.

She notified the NVC if they curently have the case.
