CFO seminar documents

Let me just share my experience from my CFO seminar yesterday and why do they ask certain documents..

The only available slot for appointment for CFO was 2pm yesterday. When i got there, i had to fill up a form and they took a picture and said I have to wait until 1pm for one on one interview. So i was very nervous when i heard this because I read many stories about CFO and their one on one interview. When it was almost 2pm, one counselor told us to go to a room. There's only 15 of us there, mostly with K1 visa. On the first 1-2 hrs, she explained the questions on our form that we had to fill up and this is what i understand from that:

1. If you don't know the mother's maiden name and full name -They are going to ask you for copy of petitioner's birth certificate or form G-325a or any documents that bear his/her mother's maiden name (This is to prove that petitioner is not on their wanted list, When petitioner has same name with other name they are going to use mother's maiden name)

2. If your USC partner, whether married or going to marry, has any annulment or divorce, expect that they are going to ask for any papers regarding their divorce and annulment. Get ready with the reason as well..

3. And if they went through a divorce, they might ask for proof of singleness (1040/Income tax return)

4. They might ask for picture of your partner and picture together and letter of intent.

5. If you don't know have any landline number (yours and your partner), you can use neighbor, nearest relative etc (So when they check up on you, they can get a hold of you. The reason they don't want cellphone number is because it is replaceable)

After she explained all the question from the form, she did the one on one interview (be prepared with necessary documents , it doesn't have to be printed or a hard copy. She allowed us to show her forms and documents on our phone and she browsed it there). Since we're in the afternoon shift, their office where you can get the sticker is closing at 5pm. So after one on one interview, she told us to go downstairs and give our form and passport there. Then go back again upstairs for the seminar. After seminar, someone will bring the passport upstairs with certificate and sticker, after getting the passport you can go home :)
