Mods I know this should technically be in off topic, but this is my home base and it is a current issue. A little latitude please.

Any of you got a recommendation for a tablet that is not a IPAD or Microsoft. I want a second tablet (we have an IPAD) I just don't want to pay those Microsoft /Apple $$$$$$$$$$$

My wife likes to get up in the Am and watch her Pinay soaps on the Net. I like to get on the elliptical and watch Movies HBO series, listen to Pandora. She also plays all those game things, Bubble witch etc.

She also does a lot of on-line surveys ( actually makes a few hundred a month). A lot of them will not work on the iPAD, I assuming Java.

10 inch would be good

I'm less help on the 10 inch android tablets.. For the seven inch tablets the Nexus is a very good deal..

I did a bunch of research and read a lot of ratings on Consumer report. I opted for the Samsung Pro 10.1 inch 16gb model. On sale at Best Buy 399.00

For the money it seemed the biggest bang

found an app for Android named Torque. It was 4 bucks. ordered a 12 dollar ODB2 Bluetooth port adapter and presto. High end ODB2 code and sensor reader. It will even give you live performance date and graphing while moving

Those standalone readers cost hundreds of dollars.

That is just cool.

For those of you that have no clue.. You know when your check engine light comes on.. It could be a lose gas cap or a serious engine problem. this puppy will tell you

I never heard of that. This is even better, you have to leave the code reader plugged in, and the screen is small and hard to read if you are driving and trying to diagnose. The tablet screen has to be much easier to read.
