I just called NVC and got my case number but he told me to wait until I receive an email from NVC to do anything. I did not receive my Invoice ID number, Will NVC send Invoice ID number to my email? Is that why they told me to wait?

somebody help!

Yes, you cannot access the CEAC before you get an email from NVC, which can take up to 30 days. We're in the same boat.

I thought I could do DS261 and AOS fee as soon as they are available, but didnt know that I need to waste that long to get an email from them!! Whats the point for waiting on that email? Are they going to send any important info or it will be like a confirmation email ?

I thought the same thing until I got the rude awakening from NVC this morning. I received my numbers yesterday and had been trying to access the CEAC all day yesterday and this morning. As far as I know the email will contain your IIN and case number, not sure about the rest of the content. I'm assuming you should just wait to receive that and then log in to CEAC and for theds261 and the AOS fee to appear. Just keep checking until it does. Edited by Rlelle09

I got my case number, invoice ID number and beneficiary id from NVC when I contacted NVC. I tried to give my email address and my spouse's email address to NVC. He told me to call next week to give him my email address and my spouse's email address. Should I call again to give NVC our email addresses so NVC will email us?

Also, I have attempted to do so and received the message below:

"Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error. " What does it mean?

I was given my case number last week on the 24th. They told me to call back this week to give them email addresses too. I was finally able to get the IIN and the BIN but I can't do anything with them until I get that blasted email!

I didn't even attempt to tell them our email addresses, because they actually had the one we used with USCIS they just verified it with me. Maybe you should try calling again to get someone else and see what they say?

When I called NVC I got the Case Number and the Invoice Number. With those numbers I was able to log onto NVC and submit DS-261 after I was invoiced for AOS payment. After 2 days it showed AOS Fee Payed, then I send in the AOS Packet, now I am waiting for IV Invoice. I never got an E. Mail from NVC for anything,

We got out case number and invoice number 13th june 2014 when my husband called NVC and he was also informed to wait till he got the email but we also kept checking CEAC site to see if it will be availabe to access. After few weeks of trying we got lucky that it became available to access and on 28th June my husband filled up and submitted the DS-261 and when we check today the AOS fee was also available to be paid and we just paid it today also. We did all that without getting the email from NVC, call back NVC and get your Invoice Number also and once you have the Case and Invoice Number then try to access CEAC.

I am in the same boat as you all! Case # and IIn assigned on the 20th of June, given to me verbally by an operator a few days later. I was told i have to wait for the email (WHY WHY WHY wouldn't the freaking email just auto-generate when you have a case # assigned? Do they have an actual person sending out emails? Between the email situation and the busy signals, for real when is the last time you got a busy signal anywhere besides NVC, I am beginning to suspect the NVC still operates in the late 80s, perhaps they also have dial up internet? :) ) Anyway, I also check several times a day, hoping I will be able to log in before I actually get the email.

8 business days and counting since I was assigned a case # and IIN... Good luck to everyone else and we should definitely let each other know once we have access!

I would just call back and ask for the IIN. I got both numbers on the same day (june 25/14) The operator didn't tell me anything about waiting for an email.

I even sent the opt-in email just in case (even though I read we don't have to do that anymore).
