Hi everyone,

I have been looking around but cannot seem to find any answers, and the checklist we received from the Jerusalem consulate is not specific either. I have tried emailing them but I have not received any answer.

Perhaps some of you have an answer.

Just some background detail if that might help. The beneficiary (myself) is a dual French Israeli applying with her French passport and currently living in Israel with the petitioner, a dual US Israeli citizen,

I was wondering if I need police records (stating that there is no criminal record) for both the petitioner and the beneficiary or just for the beneficiary. Knowing that the petitioner is a US citizen but has been living in Israel for the past 5 years.

And I ( the beneficiary) have received a police record from France as I am a French citizen but cannot find out the type of translation needed. I called a translator who told me she can either do a notarized translation or a translation from a translator certified by the French Consulate in Tel Aviv. Is the latter one enough (as it is much cheaper) ?

Thanks a lot for any help !

  • Petitioner does not need police certificate records for K-1 visa application. Only the beneficiary
  • Use sworn-in translator that already certified by the US consulate. All documents must be translate into English language. So if your police certificate in French language, you need to translate it into English language.
  • Check your packet 3 list (mine was detailed and specific). If you don't mind can you put here list of your packet 3 (removed your personal information) so others can help you?
