So I have filed the 129f in early May but I really don't want to wait so me and my fiancé were thinking of just getting married...I'm a Bulgarian and American citizen so I was just thinking of going to Bulgaria and then I would file for the 130 petition? Does anyone have any idea if this will help at all with having him come here earlier? I know this might be dumb to do but I just don't want to wait!!!!

Your plan would actually extend the wait time...because....you'd first have to withdraw the K-1 petition (you can get married at any time) and THEN you file for the CR-1 visa, which takes a couple of months longer than the K-1.

Pursuing the K-1 as you are now is the quickest way.

Hi,

It is dumb if you want him here earlier. ? (Joking with ya using your own words.)

By getting marrried, you disqualify him for a K-1 fiance visa. You would have to start all over with a spousal visa and get to the back of the line. This will only make it longer for him to get to the US.

You would actually lengthen his time in Bulgaria by abandoning the K-1.

The K-1 is the quickest way.

Be strong. You can endure the wait.

Most are administratively closed and would take a year or so anyway.
